Professional Service Definition

  • Firewall device installation or replacement i.e. a new firewall or any other hardware device (on-site or remote assistance for local personnel)
  • Management Console installation (on-site or remote; i.e. ePO upgrade, Check Point MDSM, or other)
  • Design workshops
    • Solution architecture.
    • Pilot Product Deployment and Testing (remote or on-site.) Examples: How many repositories? How many additional product components to be installed? What features, policy initial development (other aspects related to solution design and planning)
  • Initial product deployment to a group of pilot machines
  • Device maintenance (on-site) firmware upgrades, memory and other hardware upgrades
  • Proof of concepts
  • Initial product deployment and troubleshooting (example deploying ENS to 50 machines and monitoring for any issues. Installation on pilot machines to verify compatibility)
  • Upgrades, patches, hot fixes (when executed on-site for whatever reason, be it a physical presence requirement or the customer’s choice who may not allow remote connect, will be classified as Professional Services
