Caretower Data Protection Seminar at Wembley Stadium
Monday 6th of April 2009
The growing number of reported data loss incidents that organisations are struggling to gain visibility and control over what is happening to their confidential data. McAfee Data Protection is the most complete host-based solution that instantly monitors and prevents data loss at work, at home and on the road to protect organisations from the risk of financial loss, brand damage and non-compliance.
The day started with an overview of Caretower by the Managing Director Phydos Neophytou. McAfee's Industry experts Pete Ridley and Brendan Rizzo, delivered the seminar which was followed up with a demonstration of McAfee's Data Loss Prevention products including Device control and Endpoint Encryption.
Following the presentations guests were then treated to a tour of the famous Wembley Stadium. Wembley's 90,000 capacity makes it the second largest stadium in Europe and the largest (and tallest) in the world with every seat under cover. It is one of the most expensive stadia ever built, costing close to £800 million. Immediately following its opening, it was often referred to as the "new Wembley Stadium" to distinguish it from the original stadium. The land has been used for football since as early as the 1880s.

Caretower Office Move
Monday 8th of June 2008
On Friday the 6th of June 2008, after 10 years at Triangle House Palmers Green, the Caretower family finally completed the move to their new 7500 sq feet freehold premises at Bounds Green, North London, just off the North Circular.
Off the back of 11 strong years of continual growth, Caretower simply outgrew its humble dwellings in Palmers Green, opting for a custom built, state of the art facility created with Caretower’s aim of more growth in mind.
In line with Caretower’s strategy, the building was designed with the view to accommodate guests and visitors; Caretower wanted to shift away from dealing with customers over the phone and encourage more face time with them. Training being a huge part of the new strategy, the new office boasts a board room which can be used as a seminar hall easily sitting upwards 50 people, a more intimate meeting room with a capacity of about 10 people is also available. The technical department includes the server room, the support centre and a state of the art demonstration lab. The lab used to give customers a chance for some hands on experience with Caretower’s solutions and is adjacent to the Engineers room. The upper floor is dedicated to the sales floor, the spacious open plan sales floor is ergonomically designed for both comfort and productivity.
"For us the new move represents more than just a new start for us, it means we are in a better position to work with our vendors and to meet our customer’s needs’ commented Phydos Neophytou, the Managing Director at Caretower. ‘One of our strengths has always been in our strong relationships with both our Vendors and our customers. Caretower intend to use this expansion as a platform for further development of such business strengths, fortification of our brand name and continued growth."

Caretower Golf Day co-hosted with McAfee
We would like to invite you to our annual Golf Day, co-hosted with McAfee. This year we have chosen The Shire, a new Golf Complex designed by Seve Ballesteros which is laid out like few other golf courses in the world. There are six par 5s, six par 4s and six par 3s, and on both the front 9 and the back 9, no two consecutive holes are the same par, with equal numbers of par 3s, 4s and 5s. This gives maximum variety and maximum enjoyment - a core philosophy of Seve's designs.

Shared services the value to procurement
Thursday, 15 March 2007 One Great George Street, London
It is estimated that the Government could save up to £40bn over the next decade by sharing services across public sector HR and Finance alone. The savings to be made in procurement could be substantial. This is your chance to learn about how shared services in procurement can be implemented as well as the barriers and the impact on the market.
The theme for this year's conference will be Shared Services, and relating this to the threads of both sustainability and collaboration. Shared services is very much a "hot" topic for the public sector and is having a great impact on the procurement function.
The Central Buying Consortium has gone from strength to strength in each year of its development and the national agenda in the shape of the National Procurement Strategy and Centres of Excellence, as well as the Efficiency Review, requires much greater collaboration across the public sector.
As in previous years, we are offering delegates the opportunity to attend a choice of seminars on a range of relevant topics. These offer a higher degree of participation and an opportunity for delegates to engage and discuss important issues in greater depth.
We have invited a wide range of presenters to discuss their experiences of shared services and in particular relating this to sustainability and collaboration, which are two key areas that CBC promotes. Our presenters have backgrounds within the public sector, private sector, consultancy and academia, which will give us a rich mix in understanding the delivery of shared services from a procurement perspective.
With a strong focus on networking the day will close with a drinks reception to allow you to meet with your fellow delegates and discuss the day's topics.
Do not miss this opportunity to meet with key buyers and suppliers and hear presentations on how shared services impact on all organisations.
